Harnoor Kaur is a Research Associate with the Local Innovation Group where she is supporting the implementation of a multi-year, systems-level evaluation study, “Adaptive Learning and Systems Analysis for JSPVAT.” In this role, she supports the team by applying systems-informed evaluation methodologies, conducting mixed-methods research, and providing insights into adaptive learning strategies for agricultural interventions. Harnoor will work closely with stakeholders, ensuring that evaluation findings are used to shape evidence-based policies and enhance the overall goals of the JSPVAT initiative.
Before joining MIT, Harnoor was a Resilience Measurement Manager at iDE, where she led the global implementation of the Market Systems Resilience Index. In this capacity, she provided strategic guidance to country teams, helping them integrate resilience strategies into their projects. She ensured alignment with adaptive learning frameworks, facilitating real-time adjustments based on evaluation findings. She has conducted impact evaluations for USAID and UNICEF-funded agricultural and WASH projects, aiming to understand the impact of these interventions in challenging environments.
Harnoor holds a Master of Science in Water Science, Policy & Management from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from O.P. Jindal Global University. She is committed to using evidence-based evaluation strategies to assess, adapt, and improve interventions within complex systems.
